About the Petal Project

My Story
Nestled in Nottingham Road in the KZN Midlands, I’ve built a life where growing flowers isn’t just a passion but a daily ritual that brings a deep sense of purpose to my everyday. Watching something thrive from seed to bloom, never gets old.
in Nottingham Road in the KZN Midlands, I’ve built a life where growing flowers isn’t just a passion but a daily ritual that brings a deep sense of purpose to my everyday. Watching something thrive from seed to bloom, never gets old.
The Petal Project is a name born from my playful university nickname, but it also speaks to something far deeper: a personal mission to bring something wild, beautiful, and deeply impactful into the world through my own fierce and feral methods. This is more than a flower farm — it’s a celebration of soulful blooms that feel as alive and expressive as the land they grow in.
My approach isn’t always traditional — it’s intuitive, a little untamed, and rooted in deep respect for the Earth. I follow instinct, stay curious, and let the garden teach me.
Now, in a smaller space, in Nottingham Road and armed with new and vital knowledge thanks to Erin Benzakein’s Floret Flower Farming Workshop, I’m cultivating personal favourites for florists, brides, and all flower lovers who love the same blooms as I do. Together with Andrius, my partner in gardening for the past 15 years, we’re nurturing a project that’s bold, female-led, and deeply rooted in authenticity.
